More fuel pump problems - replacement 'filter socks'...?

Can you get replacement 'filter socks' for fuel pumps?
I received a 2nd hand pump from another member, which works perfectly, but I stupidly broke the filter sock that sits on the bottom of it
It's from a 318 rather than a 320, so the sock I already have isn't compatible. I've tried BMW, the local Motor Factors, and the online ETK linked to above. They supply them, but the pump they come with makes it a tad expensive!
Any suggestions, or am I going to need help from here again? I was hoping to finally get the sod going this weekend, too...
