fuel lines

Hey Zone, replacing fuel lines at weekend and would like to know if it is a difficult job to do and is there any problems i should watch out for ?

first thing depressurize the system
take out the fuse for pump
run it till it runs out of petrol
then disconnect battery
now you safe m8

Fuse 11 ...
There will still be fuel in the pipes so you will need a container to catch the fuel.
Before you remove any of the pipes, mark the feed pipe at each end with some electrical tape (or a magic marker etc) This will prevent you getting them mixed up.
The screws holding the plastic clips will break when you remove the pipes.
When i did mine, I turned them upside down and used a screw to fix them back to the car.
If you don't have pre-formed fuel lines from the dealer you will find it easier to bend the new pipes to shape by removing the old ones, then using them as a template. Also heat will help with the bending.

I've just ordered the metal fuel lines from a dealer, hopefully be here in a couple of days.
Some kind kind person tried to cut the fuel lines with a pair of side cutters and crimped the pipe real bad - but i guess judging by the rust on them it they're innings were over!
