Leaking boot

I've had this a while and have checked the rear light seals in which i had them off, cleaned them up and to be safe, sealed them with silicone to prevent any water getting in.
Now a week later it's still getting water in

and it's like a pond in the back!, I've checked the condition of the boot seal, it looks alright but water's still getting in, if i replace it and it doesn't stop it then i'm at wit's end.
Anyone got any ideas where else it could get in?

if your boot is FILLED with water particularly in the strorage wells on the left and right (where the battery goes on some models) it is "often" rusted out inner arches on the rear

Also check the rubber boot lid seal, although if it's as bad as you say i to would suggest inner arches

look from inside the car above the rear lights as mine had small rust holes which you
cant see from the outside.

As Ian pointed out to me, a failing gasket (N°9 on diagram) can also cause water to leak into the side pockets.

also petrol cap rubber. they always go. drill a small hole to let the water out for now until you find the issue

The sunroof drains into the side 'pockets' inside the boot....

All the above are very common leaksge points. Pull the boot seal right off the car and check the metalwork under it.

I 'think' on mine it's inner arch rust, right down in the gap, luckily it's not 'full' of water but I'd check here along with all the other suspects..

Water's gathering in the car when stood still. And it's in the middle of the boot, as well as one side, I'm guessing it could be the boot seal gone.

Ya same is happening to my car, down the side pockets, but a bit ago My door lock was faulty so I took it out and fixed it but had the plastic trim on top across the boot off 2 to make my investegating easier. Trouble was it cracked for sum reason when I was putting it back so I left it off ( meaning to go to the breakers for another 1, This Saturday Im going don there no matter what happens!)While a few weeks past and I didnt get time with college nd everything and the car usually has a roof over its head when parked

so the water problem wasnt critical but wondering if the trim missing would let the water in, Also I noticed my areial base isnt totally covered 2day but only 1 side pocket would be wet then right?

Checked, found one bolt loose, tightened back up, now hoping a replacement seal from another car should solve the issue.

There is a single 13mm nut on the part of the catch fixed to the lid which adjusts how tight the lid closes.

All of the above are good suggestions.
I found one of my boot wells full of water today actually, annoyed me. Mine is leaking from the bottom of the rear window seal, which makes sense as i just removed it and re-fitted.
Get a hose, and squirt water arround inner arches etc from outside to sule out holes etc.
Worth checking on yours maybe!

Now tweaked the nut you suggested, will see if the boot's still leaking now when it rains
