I have an engine and gearbox from an e36 3.0 m3 with loom and ecu which i want to install into an e30 cab shell... I can do the conversion no worries, i just need some engine mounts and gearbox mounts, do any other BMW mounts work or does anyone know where i can by made up mounts? many thanks guys

For the engine, use the E36 alloy arms (should be attached to your engine) with E28 M5 rubber mounts.
For the gearbox (assuming its the E36 M3 5spd), the standard E30 (manual gearbox) crossmember works fine with the rubber mounts from either the E30 or E36.

E21 gearbox mounts are the best to use

Metal crossmember or the rubber bits?

The rubbers, they are a 10mm stud and larger diameter as the E21 only has one rubber mount, later ones are an 8mm stud

So i can just use the standard m3 engine mounts and e30 g/box x-member and it will fit straight in without any metal working, do i have to move the servo? how about exhuast etc thanks guys

Learn something new everyday
Ive got the M3 rubbers on mine, mainly cause they were fairly new and free
I dont expect any problems with them, but will remember the E21 mounts if I need to upgrade
