hiya ppl
i recently renewed a bottom ball joint on my E30, and to do this i had to disconnect the brake sensor to get at the arm joint.
when i reconected the brake sensor i now have the brake pad warning light on (the red light in between handbrake and ignition light)
does anybody know how i get it off?

Reconnect the pad sensor, renew the pad sensor, or clean the connections you've disturbed.

Pads may be OK, but the sensor may not be.
Did the light come on right away after you did the wishbone? The sensor wire can wear through on the inside of the wheel rim if the leads aren't dressed properly.
Check that the socket for the sensor isn't corroded, and try shorting the two pin in the socket with a piece of wire as a check. This should put the light off.
The pad sensor is just a loop of wire in a plastic block. The wear light will come on when this wire is shorted to earth, or cut through by the brake disc. There's no reset involved - the light goes out when continuity is restored.
