3rd, eye-level brake light.

My Touring needs one to get registered, as it's a private import.

Was there a factory one or anything? Right now mine is fitted with an ugly aftermarket one. Just wondering if there is a more aesthetic option.

Best looking aftermarket light you can find, I'm afraid.

okay, thanks for the help! I might look into fabbing up a nice slim strip LED to mount cleanly.

Hmm, a tasteful one could be a nice little earner!

Just a thought, but would it be possible to borrow one from another make, like an older VW Golf for example? Something that mounts up in the headliner and peeks through the rear glass just below the spoiler?

OOOOOEEERRR, my touring hasnt got a third eye level brake light, but it is a UK car, sorry for sounding dumb but if a UK car hasnt got one only the tail gate level standard light fitment why does an import have to have one, It could just be me being

Here's another option (hear me out before anyone makes a scrunchy face :? ). How about taking the trunk mount light off an E30 cabrio and mounting it at the trailing edge of the roof? The housing is pretty low profile and if you painted it body colour, it'd look totally factory. Minimal drilling, easy access under the headliner. So, cool or what? ...........:?

Regs inoz state you must have one after a certain year, I think it was early 90's as the E36 I had (1991) had 3rd brake light.

Streetspec, did you mave many hassles bringing it in to Oz? I'm planning this myself with my touring.
