E30 Zone

went to pick the missus up for the first time last night and before i set off the warning light came on for my coolant so i topped it up. about 20 miles later after picking her up she had really hot water dripping on her foot and soon after the coolant light came on. so i pulled over as soon as i could to fill up with water and the passanger footwell carpet was soaked.


any ideas anyone? could it be something to do with the heater matrix if so what needs doing and how hard is it. there is a hole on the bulk head just at the bottom of the front pillar which i needto fill but the car has been in the garage for a few days and didnt get wet.

Sounds like the heater matrix is leaking if it's leaking hot water onto your mrs's foot!
Could be a split pipe or the matrix itself. Not sure how hard or easy it is to do as I've not done it on my car. Hopefully someone else will have some info to help you on sorting it out.
