I've tried following the instructions on bimmer DIY but it won't work. Use'd jump wire and nothing happens, what could I be doing wrong?

Stupid question, but are you sure you connected the correct terminals? Be careful as you can fry the ECU if you get it wrong....

Yeh followed the diagram exactly. When you turn the ignition on is the first turn, or second turn when the ignition llights come on?

If I remember, it's on the second turn...

I'll try again. DIY says if it doesn't work you might have to change the batteries on the SI board...

Definately true I'm afraid... & quite likely what you're up against here! Second position's what you want though, so try that first.

ok, i'm an idiot, The diagram on DIY must be for a LHD car cause the 'pac-man' faces the wrong way on mine. Got the right pins and i've only managed to reset the inspection light, the oil service won't go away?

I think you have to wait another 15 seconds or so for the oil light to go
