What is the best way to chabge the springs on the front of a touring?

I had a look today and the haynes says you have to disconect the whole world to do it such as trackrods, antir roll bar etc.

I wondered about jacking between the hub and the strut just below the spring to push the hub down and therefore pop the bottom of the strut out, also is the bottom of the strut bolted or not?

I do it like this:

Fit spring clamps loosely to take a bit of tension, undo bottom ball joint and arb drop link, push control arm off, drop off track rod end, remove caliper, undo three top mount strut nuts.

Easy. 8O

Just seems like a lot to get the strut out. :(

But, on the bright side, you hardly ever get your front struts stolen as a result.

Takes less than 30 minutes a side to do, it's really not rocket science :D
