E30 Zone

Have just brought a 325i sport which is currently to the deck so need to raise it up been looking through the fourms and someone recommended M-tech springs that drop the car 15mm roughly. anyone know rough price and where i buy them from?
Need to change the exhaust to something stainless steel but dont want a drainpipe sticking out the back and have heard bad things about custom exhausts.
about to put the car into a bmw specialist for service cambelt and gearbox and diff oil changes. anything else recommended and any advice?
Sensible modification recommended both to handling and performance?

These are available from your BMW dealer.

Have a look here www.realoem.com and enter the last 7 digits from the chassis number for the correct parts for your car.

I have a stainless Scorpion exhaust system, it is a bit loud at the mo because the boxes need re-packing. Apart from that they are very good.

If you can afford it get a BTB 6-branch manifold from the zone shop, worth every penny.

if you only need to change the springs and want M-tech, do it.
If you want cheap-but-good look at AVO (I've been very pleased with mine)

in the middle, there are lots of recommendations for the H&R kit available from the 'Zone shop

why do you need stainless steel? The O/E Boysen exhausts usually last about 15 years, and give the best performance/torque.
get these from the dealers or any O/E parts from Motormec
http://www.motormec.co.uk/ - just ring them with your VIN number - they would probably be cheapest for the O/E M-tech springs as well.

make sure the coolant is changed every two years - this will give you less chance of having head gasket problems. I had the cambelt pulley changed with the cambelt, and people recommend the water pump is changed at the same time, and I used BMW coolant - it's supposed to be the best.

All of the above is dependent on how much money you want to spend/how long are you planning on keeping the car

ps what wheels do you have? For handling and performance (because they weigh so little) the best IMHO are original BMW BBS 15" cross-spokes with quality tyres. Certainly NOT imitation 17s of any make or shape.
