I'd do it for ya @ work but minimum labour is 1 hour @ Ԛ£55+VAT

I think I'd try my local Kwik-Fit etc and see if they'll take a drink to borrow the ramp for a bit, Sundays are best for obvious reasons.

Fitting the lever and bending the rod will take no time really, hrdest bit is getting the clips off the selector rod.

Ant speaks the truth... the circlips are a pain in the buttocks.

I found the hardest bit getting the white collar from out of the remote housing... done it three times now and I still can't get it right.

In fact, I'm putting in the Z3 shifter I have for the Sport tonight. But I'm experimenting with the 2.8 lever. It's longer under the 'ball' and is straight, as opposed to having a bend in it. I think this will bring it closer to my hand, making for better shifting.

I'm not worried about it fouling on the centre console as the throw will be very short...

Will let you know how it goes, and if it's not worth doing and just sticking with the 1.9 lever...

Giles.
