The 'Cliff' is asking if the temperature sensor for a 7-button OBC will work with a 13-button OBC. The meaning is clear once you add in a few necessary verbs, nouns etc. We are used to his ways, and add in the required words without thinking winkeye

Very true! I didnt even realise there were words missing until I went back to re-read!

Which air duct is the temp sensor in? I will stick my fingers in for a rummage after work if someone can post up a picture

When we can compare part numbers with someone who has a 13 button OBC temp sensor and get the answer that way

Don't take this as being definitely correct, but from somewhere in the deep recesses of what used to be my brain, I seem to recall they are not interchangeable. IIRC, they have different temp/resistance characteristics, so will give completely wrong readings.

I up graded from 6 button computer to a 13 button computer and left the orginal temp sensor from the 6 button in and it doesn't work. Gives a constant read out of 169F all the time!

are there not 2 types of temp sender my 13 button obc has the same sender as the 9 button one in dobbies diagram above when i went to replace a knackered one i was automatically given the yellow one without the piece of wire which dont fit
