hi ppl
ive just popped into blue bell, crewe and asked how much a bottom ball joint for the E30 was.
anyway after a few moments he came back and said "Ԛ£110" so i laughed and said "Ԛ£110 for a bottom ball joint?" and he said that you have to replace the whole arm!
is this true? plz tell me it isnt!

if you repalce the arm make sure you get the new bush, as they don't include in the pack.
27 quid for the arm and 6.75 for the bush. (GSF)

Just to complicate things a bit, GSF/ECP sell the individual ball joints as well for pressing into your existing arm.
If you think that quote from the dealer was high, then try asking them for the same part for a 325 touring!

Not necessarily for everything. They can surprise you sometimes.
Yes, you can just change the individual joint on a steel arm.

Can you press out the joint on an alloy (Touring) arm too? Or is that not recommended?

Definitely not recommended, I'm afraid.
