E30 Zone

Alright People.Has anyone had a leaky steering rack after about a year from gsf,cost around 170 or so.It was a MOT failure the year previously with excess play not leaks.This years MOT they picked up the rack was seeping but nothing major.Now the thing is pi**ing out from both gaiters. Where do i stand with this......Cheers.....

i got mine a year ago from gsf, this years mot slight play in rack hope next year it doesn't end up like yours or ill be

get a reconditioned rack mate, or put an add in the ''parts wanted'' section on the zone, someone must have one!

2nd hand racks only come with a 3month warranty dont they?
$170 for one - thats a pretty good price. I just swaped one out on my e30 and it was $300 second hand from parramatta prestige.
reco they wanted $750

there is a rebuild kit for that rack if you feel you are up to the task. last i looked it cost $50
from what i have read it can be kind of a pain but cetinly doable

Reconed racks that i have come across came with 6 months + warranty and the one thats just been fit to my car has 12 month on it .
