Check panel faults

Hi ,
my check panel keeps coming up with " brake lights",
I ve checked that both rear brake light s are working ok , i took the bulbs out and cleaned them up any way , but the brake lights keeps coming up , is there any common faults to chck over ,
any idears ?????

First, try 2 new good quality bulbs, and then suspect the brake light switch and/or the adjustment of the brake linkage pull rod that goes across the car in front of the heater.

Thanks Brian , will try your suggestions,
No the light comes up some times , but not all the time , has nt done it at all today ?

For info to all , i tried every thing
but it was a faulty brake like light b switch, it was working ie bring on the rea brake lights ok , but was not reseting the check panel light ???
swoppped for another and its all ok now

If the brake switch doesn't work cleanly it will light the chack panel.

i beleive you have fitted lpg to m20 lumps b 4 ?
is that single pint or mutli point systems ??

Single point. Multi point is a bit OTT for a M20.
M50B25 engined touring will get a multi point system I have here ready when I get the time though.
