My service inspection light (the one with the clock logo) has come on, but none of the green or red lights.... does this mean it is due for a service now, or soon?
Cheeers all,
nick

The light with the clock logo is purely a 12 month timer. It will come on again exactly a year after you reset it.

ah cool..... so required really then. What are the green nd red lights for then? Are they mileage related?
(My reason is that yes i got it serviced a year ago, but have only done about 4k miles in the last 12months)

Green lights, leading to an orange light are mileage related, but the mileage is counted at an increased rate when the engine is cold and when engine revs are high. If the orange light is ignored, then the red light comes on after a fixed time.

Ah i see, so in your opinion is it better to service on date or mileage?

Both. Inspection means just that, and things like brake and coolant fluids. The lights are for things like oil changes etc., unless the car does very low annual mileages, when the insp. light will be for oil changes as well.
Sort of, whichever comes soonest.

I was lead to believe the clock symbol means the brake fluid needs changing, NOT an annual service...

Thats cool... i thought it would prob be best to do it when the first comes on (lights or clock), but thought i'd double check, so cheers all!
