E30 Zone

Sort of a technical question .....

I have been phoning around for prices for a full set of 205/55 15's to replace the avon 205/15 50's that I have at the moment. I'm not keen on the avons and want to go back to standard size.

Can anyone recommend a tyre in this size? I have been offered everything from budget to michelins but would'nt mind a helping hand in choosing the right tyre.

People always recomend Toyo proxies or Falken ZE512 you can get both from www.camskill.co.uk free delivery and very good service.

By the way 205/55/15 is the correct size for 15" but a lot of people run 205/50/15.

The slightly smaller diameter tyre will change your speedo (by about 1-2mph), but will speed up your steering. I have when I had 15" had 50's at the front and 55's at the back, can't really tell the difference.

got these on the back of the touring- great tyres!

did 4 laps of the nurburgring fully loaded, then 6500 miles on some of the roughest roads in europe, all in 2 weeks. still plenty of tread on them (7mm plus)

mind you I dont have the same tyre shredding capacity as fuzzy

Man I gotta get my car on track to see just how kind the E30 is to tyre's. I took 3mm off Toyo T1R's at the 'ring in only 4 laps in my Civic Type-R. Im dumbfounded at how you seem to have used less with the T1S which do not last as long as the T1R.

budget tyres from my tyres.com are cheap if that s what you want for now? Ԛ£33 a tyre, cheap as chips!

doing ok for me so far and i know im just going to smoke them anyway so the cheaper the better!

Yoko parada Spec 2 tyres, funcky desing and good levels of grip in wt and dry conditions

I got my Falkens from here http://www.falkentyres.co.uk/index.asp next day delivery and cheaper than camskill.

Very very good in the wet!

Toyo' are good but Iam currently running bridgestone potenzas (RE720) and I am very pleased with them.
