IS gear ratios

Ive looked in all my manuals and non of them tell me the ratios of an IS. Anyone know?

Well av ad alook all over as i did have tehm at one point but at the moment i can only find the ratios for the 6cylinder cars. sorry

iirc, 0.81 5th, 1:1 4th, cant remember the rest. martin you thought about an e36 g/b, pm me and can discuss properly, i take it you want really short gears for it?

I'm pretty sure they are in the manual - right at the back?

I have the official figures...
1st - 3.72
2ns - 2.02
3rd - 1.32
4th - 1.00
5th - 0.81
R - 3.45
said ratios are the same on the 316i, 318i and 320i although the gearbox sizes I believe vary.

Does this mean fitting a box from an 89 316i to a 1990 IS won't make any difference??
