E30 Zone

Hi guys. Just wondering if all is lost or there is a fix.
My drivers seat doesn't seem to want to lock into numerous positions. Sometimes one side will lock and the other will just slide on the ratchet mech. Is it common fault or am i doomed!!!!

Just carn't find a comfy recline position to set the seat up in.
Any help or words of wisdom much appreciated.

sounds like the teeth are bent or broken, you would need to open the seat and check it. PM me with an eamil address, i have a good seat fix tech article but its no longer on tinterweb so i will send it to you by email as a file.
