Can the headbolts and cambelt be reused when refitting the head?
My mechanic assures me this would be fine, but I remember reading somewhere that these would need to be new.
I had the cambelt replaced not so long ago though.
Thanks in advance

I always replace the headbolts, even if they're not stretch bolts. If yours have torx heads they definitely need to be replaced.
For the cost, you're as well to change the belt as well whilst you have the opportunity.

Headbolts MUST be renewed, cambelt is advisable.
A cambelt and bolts only cost £25 to £30, imagine not renewing them and having them fail ! you'd have to shell out to have the whole job done again with new bits anyway.
Change them

You'd probably get away with re using both of them once, but as Templ8e30 says, they're not that expensive - but the cost of them failing is.
