loosing water?

Well it's like this.. i used to have a leaking radiator ( small one ) on my early 320i, than i found a good bigger one. i changed it, and it's a lot better, the temp would get only little above the middle only in heavy traffic and the temp here is around 40C in the day...
but i keep losing water
... not much but it just disappeards, it disappeardsfaster to some level and than a bit slower from ther on... aprox 0.3 lit on 500km, sometimes less some times a bit more?
cause i have regular water in the sistem not cooland i can't see if there is a leak somewhere? and when i turn off the car on operating temp the hoses are a bit strong? i know that there should be some pressure but how much?
if i have a problem with the headgasket or head (still not sure that i do) , would it be bad to drive it like this just keep adding water ?
