alright.
the only thing i can suggest (i dont do it cause i feel bad doing it in the dry) is what the jap drifters do.
there is always the hand break but if you need to you can flick it one way then the other to tease the drift to start, or do the clutch dump!
so as you are about to turn in, be in second, press the clutch in, hammer the accelerator and POP the clutch!

then S**t your self!
im not speaking from experience but we love watching the drifting!!!
a few months ago in the dry, my car was full and i still go the back out...........i didnt control it...........(no balance, to many fat people) and i plan not to do it again (with fat people in the car

).
i didnt plan the slide anyway!?!
P.s hope to see you at knockhill august 13th.
as long as i get my lowering kit on.

Yep, I can verify that the clutch technique works...
I left a downchange a bit late on the 'ring last year and released the clutch without heel and toeing at about 70mph as I turned into a corner...ended up doing a 270 and luckily not hitting anything

Perhaps you could try typing in English.

To be able to do it all the time you need more power thats an answer or get thinner rear wheels like bicycle ones lol.
I had S14 running quite a bit and would drift in the dry all day long with no hand brake use.

Yep,at the end of the day if its not doing it in the dry well, then either you need more power or theres a force stopping them spinning, good tyres, susepension setup etc. If you really have to cain the absolute s**t out of it to getit to spin in the dry then its pointless imo, as you will put some serious wear on your car!
Try some 14inch bottlecaps with naff tyres on one time,or get a faster car lol....

I drift my 325i in the dry and it's fine. Anyone who says you need power doesn't really know how to drift (don't take offense but your just power-over people). The best thing to do is (regarding a roundabout) drive on in 2nd gear at about 20mph then floor the gas while depressing the clutch at the same time then pop the clutch out. The car will instantly step sideways...
Now don't let off the gas otherwise you will spin the car, keep it pressed down (you can adjust it but be smooth and gentle), at the same time let go of the steeringwheel (sounds scary and is the first couple of times) it will automatically counter-steer then grab it once it hits the lock and adjust steering and gas untill you spin or get fuel starvation and your engine blows

The clutches in the Diff only last for 10 hours of constant lock, after 15 years + they are more than likely to be worn. You can try and change the oil with a low concentration of LSD additive.

Yeah but with power you only need to drive into the round about and then think to your self i want o be sideways now and then power down and you are none of this preparing to go in selecting gears its to military, just hit the round about and have fun.

You dont need more power, you need balls

You can make some nice 3rd gear slides if you have enough speed, and there is more than enough power for thight, low speed corners in 2nd.
There are many ways to initiate a drift and E30 is an easy car to drift in. But you cant expect to drift lika a pro in a few days...just practice a lot.
