Sounds like you need a better mechanic! (joke!)
Ive snapped a rocker before but I also replaced the rocker shaft and end caps while it was out. I didnt have any problems after though.
Has everything been put together properly and no wires knocked loose?
Might be worth checking the cable and plug on the AFM and also check all the plugs leads and distributor cap, make sure nothings loose. Also were the leads put back in the right order? Just checking.
Oh, what engine is it?

rockers can break on cars with valve clearances too tight which are driven hard.
It's a head off job aswell so i'm told. They do wear so i would think replacing them all could be a benefit. I think they are £10 each though!
U can get the cam out without taking the head off but it's a bonnet off job and undoing the engine mounts and jacking it up
hth
oh and don't drive it!!!

Happened to me a few years ago in my M Tech 1 Sport, was having fun in it one day, pulled up to a set of lights and noticed it was running on 5. I think number one had snapped. Engine still ran though obviously didn't sound right running on 5. Head came off, replaced more than just the broken one and had change from £200. Car was fine after that.

Hi
As part of my 3.0l I got some billet steel rockers made up as I have heard the were a weak stop around 7k, micro polished for more power.

Would imagine Jerran did the work himself for that price TBH.
It's a pretty labour intesive job, especially with the engine in the car!

My mechanic just opened the bonnet, jacked the engine up, removed the grill and got the rocker shaft out their!
My mechanic is in Harlow, Essex and he doesnt charge much. I can give you his number if its any use (oh he rebuilds top fuel dragster engines for his team over weekends, so I know his works good!).

Yes steve! Nice one ! Thats pretty much what my mate did , but he said he loosened the head bolts and got it out like that!!!

Yeah i know , he has probably mashed up the head gasket? But he seemed to think it was ok?
