323i chip

I'm dropping the 323i lump into my 320i soon, and was wondering if I could just chip my existing ecu, or does the whole brain have to be changed?

I'm in the Burpham area, alas Wednesday's are always a no-fly zone for me. If you spot a white 320i with the Breyton body-kit and (temporarily) some paint missing from the rear bumper where Captain Special rubbed my car. If the driver's got dreadlock's its me, otherwise someone's half-inched it so PM me tout de suite!
No one got any clues with the ECU to get back on topic?

what ECU number do you have currently in the 320 ? and is it motronic or jetronic ( chrome bumper ) ?
