Front wheel bearing hub nut

Trying to change a front wheel bearing and getting nowhere. What size is this nut? I've measured the replacement nut with a vernier digital gauge at 36.75mm. I have tried all morning to get a socket with thin enough sides to fit in the hub housing with no success. Five motor factors, Halfords, motor mania and a few others. All the socket sides are too thick and I keep getting told that you cannot get a thiner walled socket. Can anyone recomend a socket size, make and serial no for this nut as I am totally pissed off with what should be an easy job.
I have checked in the forums and there seems to be a discrepancy over the size, either 36mm or 37mm.

Cheers
Russ

I got an ordinary 36mm one and a 6" bench grinder.

Now sorted. I was supplied an imperial nut of 1 7/16" so the 36mm socket would not fit and the next size up (37mm) would not fit the recess in the hub !!

May I thank GFS who supplied the nuts for all the wasted time and thanks to the zoners who gave advice.
