Bonnet Release

Hi
My bonnet release mechanism of my E30 325 has broken the lever under the glove box is just swinging free is their anyway of opening the bonnet.

mine is like that too!
Can you feel the end of the cable still?
If so, get the pin and insert it into one side of the handle (there is a locating hole) once its in,just pull the handle whilst holding the pin in the hole and the bonnet should open.
failing that, or if cable no nonger has the pin, get a pair of pliers and start pulling!

Hi Guys
If you can't repair the cable, replacement is straight forward, I did mine today. The cable comes complete with the handle from the dealer and takes about ten minutes to install.
