Clutch Problem

Taken from my little 316....
Looking at this pic it seems ive pulled the pin from the cylinder (forgive my technical terminology)... its a track day car/project and Im not sure but im guessing the pedal must have got caught when i was pulling the carpet out. Its the only way I can see something like this happening.
Me being me, i think ive screwed it up even more, as i put the pin (ball joint thingy) back in and depressed the pedal thinking it will all click back into place and everything will be fine..... but all its done is depress the clutch and obviously as the ball joint hasnt snapped back into place, it hasnt pulled it back up.

(apologies for the pic - taken with my phone)
Any easy fixes out there??
My luck with cars is bad at the best of times, so something like this doesnt suprise me..... HELP!!
Any help, suggestions or opinions greatly appreciated. Thanks.
