Hi Guys

went out to my E30 the other morning and the battery was dead wont turn over.

so I went to work and when I came home my other half put a new battery on, has been ok last couple of days, but this afternoon came out and the battery is flat again, going to take it down the garage later for a look.

Any of you lot had problems with anything draining the battery at all! just to give us an idea of where to start looking??

Thanks
:(

Could possibly be a dud alternator.

The alternator has been tested and it is charging fine.

pfuuu :? there are lots of things that can cause that drain. like trunk lid light, glovebox light, don't come off when you close them.
i had an electrical drain myself, but it was outside the fusebox so it was harder to find. you should check how much amps get drained. and there were lots of previous posts about electrical drain problems. just do a search on electrical drain. there is nothing that isn't covered on this topic.

Tricky to find sometimes.

I had the problem too - for me it was the boot-switch for the boot lamp. I put a cover over the end so it pushed it in further and it's been fine ever since..

These faults are easy enough to find, if you approachj it logically.
I've posted several times on this subject, explaining how to hold a meter probe down through the centre of the battery terminal to check for leakage.
A forum search should bring these posts up.
