E30 Zone

My temperature guage needle swings rapidly left to right when ever I switch on my windscreen wiper.

Now is this a bug or feature in an E30 vehicle?

bad earth may be? normally the cause of most faults. i wouldnt know where tho, sorry.

New one on me! There's a whole bunch of earths above the glovebox inspection panel. Worth a try.

you taken the cluster apart and checked the bolt's tight on the back of the temp guage? check for dry joints on the board too. my bro's old 318is used to do this many years ago, not with the wipers though, just when it felt like it!
