oversize head gasket

does anyone know where I can purchase a 2.05mm head gasket (stock is 1.63mm)

go to the stealer, they do an oversized unit to restore the stock CR following a head skim/decking
cant recall the dimention but I do know its drops an 8.8 CR down to about 8.2:1 CR

Think a company called SPESSO do thicker and uprated head gaskets. You can get them from Demon Tweeks. Not 100% certain they cater for BMW though. Mabey worth a try?

A company called felpro do a better head gasket, this is the muts nuts.

I have seen metal headgaskets for Rover v8's, does anyone make such a thing for Bimmers? Do they work?

Felpro is the item your refering too, it is a tripple layer item, rubber, metal, rubber.

These will custom make gaskets, even do the metal reinforced type, although thickness is only 1.5mm.
The owner is going to have a look through his books and see if he can source the FELPRO ones for us......if they are a reasonable price it might be worth all of us turbo e30's to get one, (group buy!) I'll post what he says when he calls back.
