Help tackling rust and bent bulkhead

Hi I have discovered a horror in my LHD 1988 E30 Cabriolet. I took the LH wing off to repair the wiring on the repeater and notice some rust traces pulled off the sealant between the inner wing and bulkhead and one thing led to another.
Following the brilliant advice in the posts here I’ve stripped the dash out, interior and wiring and fuse box. This has revealed rust along the inner wing to bulkhead join also creasing and damaged to the bulkhead panel. The car has obviously had a major repair and new inner wing and chassis leg fitted some time ago and the repair joint was sealed without paint.
My question is can this repair be done, and any advice on tackling it would be appreciated. I’m not in the mood to scrap it as the car stands me in over 10k and the rest of the car is in good shape. At the moment the engine is still in situ.
I’ve welded up many MGBs in the past but this is a bit different.
I’ll try and load some photos.
