E30 Zone

Hi all.

I’ve been rebuilding my car for quite sometime now. Now putting it all back together and having a few issues.

Currently installed my dash and wiring underneath. My electric windows and heater are not working at all. I’m still to plug in sone if the door switches etc… but wanted to test as I go along to make sure things work.

Would not having something else on the door not plugged in cause the blower and windows not to work?

I’ve checked the blue relay next to the accessory plugs behind the dash. I’m only getting 0.6v on pin 30. Should this have 12v constant?

I’m not getting any power at the blower switch or on the window switch pins. I haven’t touched anything on the starter motor so wiring there should be the same and nothing disturbed.

There’s quite a few wires behind the driver footwell speaker, and quite a lot of disconnected plugs, mainly spade connectors and a plug, unsure what should be plugged in and what wasn’t ever usedcon my car. It’s been a few years since I started this and labels on se have disappeared.

Anything obvious I should check? Fuses are fine.

Just a quick update…
Managed to fix 90% of the above.

I still have some plugs not connected to anything behind the drivers speaker so if anyone has a quick guide of what everything is, that would be great. I’ll look at some wiring diagrams in the meantime.

The issue I now have is that the heater fan will work on setting 4, and then 3, 2, 1 on the way down… but won’t wirk on 1, 2, 3 on the way up until I get to 4… and it doesn’t blow hot air. The temp disl doesn’t seem to change anything in terms of blown air temp. Might be an airlock after bleeding the coolant?
