Part no 72111924741 (left) or 72111924742 (right).
You'll also need the screw and washer. http://bmwfans.info/parts-catalog/E30-C ... #9903039_3

Found a pair on eBay in the US for under a tenner, with about £20 shipping, so happy enough at that.
Let’s see if they want another pound of flesh in taxes 🤷🏻‍♂️

I draped the belt over in one pic so you can see the bracket

They had been sat in the car since May when they turned up, but as the weather is so nice I got it out today & they were only a 5 min job :D

Ok having fitted them & drove home I realised they aren’t right, the belt was pulling on my shoulder & would not retract once I got out of the car, in fact they are not that part at all. They are actually already fitted to the car & can be seen in the last pic poking through the rear capping. They actually fit inside the interior moulding for the belt to slide over & act as the strength when used in anger (i.e accident)
So I think the part I need must be on a different BMW parts page?
So the original question still stands, what fits there?

I’ve never seen anything like your set-up before.

Is it possible it could be fitted wrongly & the lug with hole should be on the inside?
Cheers

If you look carefully at exploded diagram, it looks as though the lug does go on the inside.

I think you may have inadvertently purchased the same part that is already attached to your car (behind the rear card)

Possibly the bracket in your picture is an attachment point for a wind defector.

Yes definitely, that’s what I was eluding to in my earlier post.

Im gonna remove the rear quarter interior cards & see what’s going on.
