Hi all,
Recently have noticed red light is on as show below. Everything else is off and car has standard locks etc. Have also had a couple of flat batteries recently and wonder if the two are connected as don't think this light has been on previously.
As always appreciate any advice.

Looks like an Alarm L.E.D but that type were usually fitted in the drivers door above the key slot, have you got any fobs or a strange looking key like the type in this image

Yep we have that lock but no key and this never used it. So thinking something may have happened to wiring to turn it on by itself?

A flat battery may have reset it, a lot of alarms come on after a power reset as a security in case thieves try disconnecting the power supply.

Ok thanks. I've had a flat battery in the past just by lack of use and this hasn't happened. It seems to have come on recently and drain the battery. How do I turn it off?

Try pulling fuse no. 28 in the fusebox- i read somewhere this system runs off this fuse along with the electic aerial and cig-lighter.

Every cabby ive done restoration type work on ive removed the wiring for these, usually by cutting it off just behind the panel
