New Sport Headlining Query

Hi,

I've recently picked up a black headlining that was made by East Kent Trim Supplies new but I got from someone second hand unfitted, seems very well made.
Does someone have a link to what the proper material for a sport should look like because what they have supplied is an odd faux shiny leather style material which maybe correct for all I know.
I'm only familiar with the cloth style light colour interior and assumed a sport headlining would be the same but in black.
I've tried searching this site and online but can't seem to get a good close up picture that's reliably correct,

Cheers

The pattern on my black headlining is nothing like what you show- mine, from memory, just has straight lines, running across the roof from gutter to gutter, very lightly embossed into the material.

Hi, I think you've confirmed my suspicions. Did it look like a black version of the below picture?
Excuse my rubbish camera skills the car is a bit buried at the moment. Cheers

That's right- i've just had a look at my car and ,as you say,the pattern is exactly the same as background one in your 2nd. pic.

What EKTS have sent you looks more of a match for the dash,or the sun-visor panel.

Biffer - thanks for confirming that.
I'm really not sure what the thinking was behind having that material, like you say it more matches the sun visor/trim material.
Because I purchased it second hand I didn't look at EKTS until after but they do show a leather type material, it is very well made though and they do supply all OEM style windscreen rubbers and trims which is useful to know.
It looks like www.martrim.co.uk can supply the correct material, I'll put it up for sale as I'm sure someone will like it. Cheers
