E30 REPLACEMENT DOOR WINDOW

My 325i 1990 Touring was broken in to by breaking the front passenger window. Have a replacement and have viewed the two particular YouTube videos about removing said window but, but three things in particular: (1) The door apertures are different meaning the viewing of the mechanism is more difficult, infact (2) I can't see where either front or rear the attachment points/guides are and (3) the rear attachment point/guide is different. Please see pics.
Any helpful suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Nigel

Unbolt the winder mech., but leave the electrics connected up. Maneuver the mech. in and out, moving it with the window switch to suit.
The lower half of the window guide that's in the way is removable by undoing the single bolt at the bottom, the metal channel unhooks from the top half and slides off of the felt part.
Get the new glass into the 'up' position and tape it there with tank tape over the top of the frame and down both sides of the glass. Refit the lower guide if you had to remove it.
Maneuver the wider mech. arms into the channels on the bottom of the glass, then use the window switch to 'raise' the window, so that the mech. rises up to its place in the door frame, and bolt it in.

Thanks for your advice, Brian. Maybe I am being thick but I just could not make sense (not of your advice) but connecting it to the physical arrangement on my door, The reason is that no part of the regulator comes close to the front guide/rail on the window, as per the attached picture . So I gave up and just left the window in position with a wooden brace. Have looked at it again just now, took the pic, and still can't make sense of it.

I've just noticed the labels on the pics., and it's a pre facelift door that's labelled as the OP's touring door. AFAIK, no touring was ever fitted with a door with the old type S shaped window winder mech. and the old shaped glass. Brown was the default colour for the tint on the pre facelift cars, so Brutus's observation is probably right.
It looks like someone might have replaced the door at some time with an early one.
Check the tint of the glass in the other windows - they would normally be green.
The door in the UTube pics. is what a touring door should look like, and is what my instructions related to.

Brian. Thanks again for your input. Could this one be the correct fitting for my nearside door?

That's the later (approx. facelift) glass for use with the scissor type mechanism. Will almost certainly have a green tint.
It's what your car left the factory with, but I'm still confused as to whether your car has been fitted with an early replacement door.

Many thanks, Brian. Yes, so am I confused about the door spec in relation to the year. As before perhaps I will only know when I look at the guts of the driver's door but I have a different major project on at this moment so that will have to wait.
Thanks again for your input.
