E30 Zone

Hi all, I'm in need of some advise. I have recently got myself an e30 325i sport and I need a new front strut. Any chance anyone knows of a place I can purchase such part?

Bmw dealer will sell you one.

Or there are places called "breakers" that may have them.

Or you could look in the parts for sale section on the E30 Zone.

Or you could put a wanted post in the parts wanted section on the E30 Zone.

I'll let you think of some other options for yourself.

Cheers for the reply, they are like hens teeth.

£850 from bmw, I have also emailed a few breakers but again nobody has them. I will check the for sale pages thanks ben.

I would ask what's wrong with the old one? Is it damaged beyond repair?

If it is then check with the guys in the "for sale" section and if not, re building a strut is not too much of a deal - all the parts are replaceable that combine to make up
the strut with shocker, disc, backplate, spring, spring pads and so on.

Hi paul,
The strut is corroded. I have tried to find the strut it component form with no luck.

I may have found a good used one on Ebay, just waiting to get it on the ramp and take some measurements.
