Dealer fit air con thermostat location

Hi 92 reg e30 315 auto anyone know where the thermostat is located or likely to be located on a dealer fit system thanks
Only 'thermostat' I know of on dealer or OE E30 aircon systems is the on/off switch. Turn it on when it's too hot and off when you get cold.
On the very rare E30s fitted with climate control, AFAIK, the little grill above the LH heater knob houses a sensor.
