Bmw E30 325i

Had a full service done including filters/plugs and diff oil from my mechanic

Also had a brand new radiator changed with new anti freeze
I initially noticed it was holding back and seemed a bit Static and lacking the previous performance prior to the work

The fan seems louder and is kicking in much quicker. There’s also a loud whining noise while accelerating when slightly warm

It’s not as free reviving as before and feels like it’s static And holding back

sounds like you got 2 problems there.
1, egine performance , 2 and the noise.

1, what plugs did he fit, ?
2, ha syour car been coverted to am electric fan ?

i would take you issues back to the establishment that did the work ans say the cars not running right,

wine could be a drive belt being over tighten.
rear diff being topped up nothing to do with it .

why did you have a nes rad fitted ?

I used the NGK BPR6es plugs

The old radiator was discoloured and the mechanic said it needs changing

I am going back to the mechanic but want to give him some ideas of what he may have done wrong.

It does feel like something is over tightened because it’s not smooth and feels stuck

This was the radiator fitted

i,m not sure what plugs to use check on wiki on here, but the rad would only need changing if the car was overheating or split and leaking coolant.
if the car not overheating the rad is fine.

sounds like the m/c has disturbed some thing when fitting the new parts.

seems a bit of a coincidence that the same issue happened twice after being workied on.

i just wondering whether some electrical connection has been disturbed

its worth cleaning the distributor cap and rotor arm too. as the electric has to come thru here before it get to the plugs via the ignition leads ( are they all on securely )

Could a failed engine mount be causing this whining. It’s a loud screaming noise when revving and de accelerating. Also noticed the surrounding plastic around the fan damaged from being hit.

Fixed new engine mounts, still whining when it warms up slightly and on deaccelarration.
