E30 Zone

Hi have two e30s with same problem the top of the door car won't sit flush and looks bent have tryied to refit a fews times any tips. Thanks

Ahhhhh I have had this do you mean the top doesn't sit in the metal clips and does the edge have a crack in it the part that runs down the door?

What I did is wet the inside of the door card that curls over and laid out some wood (you'll have to work it out yourself) and made a "frame" and used some ratchet straps to "pull" the curled top section back into place and left it against a central heating radiator to dry, you can "help" it back in to place by hand but don't crack it and if there is a crack in the edge super glue helps.

The damp gets to the door cards as I believe they are made of some some of compressed sh1te and they lose their shape. I have used this method on a couple of cars and it seems to work.

If you can visualise you need to be able to hold the flat section secure so as to be able to "pull over" the rille top section in to place, do that part by hand once wet then hold it in place with ratchet straps until its dry.
