New Plugs, Rotor, Ignition Coil, Etc. & Still Won't Star

I've been using the Wiki which has been very helpful, but am now stumped.

I have a 1987 325is that seems to have some significant electrical issues that I just can't figure out. The car will turn over, but I am not getting a spark. The fuel tank has been removed and internal tank removed if that makes a difference.

We've installed a new crank sensor (plugged into the right terminal), spark plugs, rotor, distributor cap, ignition coil and spark plug wires. We're getting 12 - 13v on the positive terminal at the coil and the battery is in good shape.

We've tried three different Montronic ECUs and still no spark. What am I missing, what else should I be looking at?

Thank you!

Engine has a good earth? You can check continuity between the engine and negative battery terminal.

With all the bits you've changed, there's now a good chance that you've introduced a fault or two that you didn't have before.
The first test you should have done, after finding that you don't have sparks, is to establish whether the fuel pump runs when the engine is cranked.
Is this a fault that suddenly developed on its own, or one that appeared after work on the car?
