Central locking help

Can any of you lovely people give me some help with a central locking problem?
It's not worked for the past 5 years now, I've finally had enough and plan on sorting it.
I have bought a good used control unit, when plugged in and I move the drivers door lock the two relays inside click. Not much else happens.
Sometimes when the passenger door is unlocked, doing the above will lock it, but never unlock it. The boot seems dead as is the petrol flap.
I've done the red black wire mod.
