Hi

I’ve been thinking about pulling the injectors from my e30
the current injectors are Bosch 0-280-150-716
I’ve found a refurb kit with the seals filters baskets and caps

I’ve also found a set of 0-280-150-715 from a m20b25 that have been refurbed and flow tested

here’s the specs for the injectors :-

BOSCH NUMBER LBS/HR CC/MIN GRAMS PSI BAR
0-280-150-715 14.5 152.4 109.6 43.5 3
0-280-150-716 12.75 134 96.43 43.5 3

the engine spec :-
facelift 320i running motronic 1.3
twin pipe exhaust system with no mid box (standard manifold)
mild chip
325 throttle body matched to the 320 inlet manifold
shielded K&N

would there be any advantage/disadvantage to running slightly bigger injector with my setup ?
or should i just refurbish the 120k injectors iv already got

Thanks

Bigger injectors on a standard b20 will likely cause running problems.. it's your car at the end of the day. Your far more likely to get better running , performance and economy gains having your standard injectors.

Hope this helps.

As above. Refurbish the correct ones, although I recommend it's done professionally, so that they can be balanced as well.
It should fuel correctly with the correct injectors, and if it doesn't, the answer is to find out why, not just fit injectors that nominally overfuel by 10% or so.
There's someone refurbing injectors for 6GBP each in our traders' section, although he's not the best at responding to emails at times.

Thanks for the reply chances are that I will stick with the standard ones I know that it isn’t really worth while trying to get any extra power out of m20b20 and that the injectors when new will be plenty overrated for the job

Only reason I asked about m20b25 injectors is I found a flow tested set before I realized they were different on the 320i
There close size wise and the ecu seems to be quite good at adjusting to these things

I’d also read a post where someone was running 17lbs m50 injectors in m20b25 on a standard ecu that just got me thinking that they possibly wouldn’t perform any worse

didn't realize you could get them refurbish for that cheap i will definitely be looking into it, i use the car most days so sending them off with out having another set to put in could be a bit of a issue
