Hi all. Can you please tell me . . . . If I have voltage coming out the ews controller ( silver box with yellow socket ) on the thick green wire is my ews working correctly ?
Thanks.

I've got power out of the green on the ews and the moter turns over but I don't have a spark or power to the fuel pump.
Any ideas anyone ??
Cheers Mark.

The signal output from the EWS unit is a binary coded digital signal (a series of pulses) which must match with what the ECU is expecting. The pulses will be integrated by a volt meter to give a voltage, but that won't tell you if the signal is correct.

When I put a multi meter on it I have different readings like 10.88v, 11.15v, etc. How can I find out if it's working or not. I feel it has a immobiliser fault as it turns over but I have no spark or fuel pump running.
Thanks.

I'm not 100% sure, (anyone know for sure? DanThe?), but I don't think EWS recognition is necessary for the fuel pump to run, so you may be barking up totally the wrong tree.

It was a ews fault. Not sending the correct signal to the ecu. Now all up and running. Thanks for everyone's input
Just got to get the rear quarter painted and it put back together now.
Cheers. Mark.
