All hazard lights stay on

When i lock my 1992 E30 320 (with the remote fob) all the indicators flash 3x times.

Every now and then though, they all stay constant with the car locked and it runs the battery down - if you don't spot it.

The indicators and hazards work just fine during normal operation, its just when i lock the car this happens.

Once the lights are stuck on, the indicators do not work and i have to disconnect the battery or constantly lock and unlock the car until it sorts itself out, which often doesn't work.

Any ideas what i should look at?

Cheers.

The cheap and nasty relay inside the alarm module.
BMW alarm, or aftermarket?

It says BMW Part No: 82 11 9 418 407 and has an on/off key.

I think teh key just turns the sounder off.

Key turns the whole alarm/immobiliser off, but still won't help with your problem if the relay has fallen apart. Follow the blue/red and blue/black wires from where they should connect at the dashboard loom socket behind the glovebox to find the relay.

So this was a relay in the alarm module. I took out the fuse by the alarm module that covers the faulty side and it works fine now.
