Retrofitting 63ltr tank - sender wiring.

Hi all.

I've fitted a 63ltr tank to my car, I've used the rear loom from the donor vehicle for the pump and sender unit and speed sensor. However I also have the wiring for the sensor on the passenger side, both wires in this are brown/green stripe and have white connectors hooked into the body loom.

My 55ltr car doesn't have the white connectors in my loom to receive the second sensor so I guess I need to wire it back into the fuel pump sensor.

Could anyone tell me how it should be wired? The pump sensor has 3 wires so I am unsure where to tap into the connect up this additional sensor!

Thank you.

Ps. I have the fuel gauge from the donor vehicle also :)

Easiest way to upgrade the wiring from a 55 litre to a 63 litre tank is to run the two wires to the LH sender along the top of the tank from the RH sender and pump.
Cut the brown/green wire near the 3 pin plug for the RH sender, extend these wires across the top of the tank, and connect them to the LH sender.
Don't forget that the fuel return pipe from the front of the car must be diverted from the 55 litre fuel pump to the stub on the front left of the tank.

Another helpful post, thank you Brian :)

Tank is fitted and all is running well, I have the return line etc plumbed in and all seems well there.

So i run the brown/green to the LH sender...

I cut the brown green, connect the body side of the wire across to the LH sensor then the return wire from the LH over to the RH sensor plug connection. No need to earth the LH side! Sounds good! Will give it s bash tomorrow :)

When you've cut the wire, extend both and connect to the LH sender. Doesn't matter which way around they are connected.
