OBC Retrofit

Hi.
Basically I got a 1990 E30 325i that has a Analog clock, and i want to put an OBC in it.
I see many E30 OBC's on ebay, but basically is there a harness that will come off any car that will plug and play, or does there have to be wire splicing/cutting required due to connectors being different or non existant on my E30's Loom?
There is a seller on ebay who says he has a harness of it but is asking me to check that back of my Analog clock for something.
Thanks.

OBC has its own self contained wiring harness, which connects to the rest of the car at the currently unused yellow socket on the instrument cluster, the earthing stud behind the glovebox, the accessories socket behind the glovebox, and to the immobiliser socket, also behind the glovebox. No cutting or splicing, or connections to the original analogue clock plug.
The immobiliser plug, earth stud and accessories socket connections, and the relay box that fits above the engine ECU, are only needed for the close to useless CODE alarm and immobiliser, so can be dispensed with if required.
All the OBC functions, except the external temperature display, will work with just the short piece of loom and wires between the yellow cluster plug and green OBC plug fitted.

Hi bss325i i have just Pm'ed you please give me the link to your ebay listing.
Another question - about exterior air temp,
- Do i just need to buy the sensor
- and does the OBC harness have a plug that can reach all the way to the bonnet area?
Do I need some sort of Module for my instrument cluster as I seen them on ebay, or will my "NON OBC" instrument cluster accept the plugs requires from the OBC Harness?

About the "code" and "immobilizer" function - how do I get them to work, does this let me immobilize my car?

It's a separate loom, with the individual wires for the sensor being plain brown and plain blue. Coincidently, these are the colours of standard two core UK spec. flexible mains cables, so a length of black, oval, 0.5 (3A)or 0.75mm2 (5A) two core flex. makes an acceptable substitute, if you can't get the OE item.
As an absolute minimum, a resistor has to be connected to the ext. temp. sensor plug, otherwise the OBC will automatically switch to the temp. indication on switch on, and sound the gong, as an ice warning.
