Hello, friends
I think i'm false buying the gearbox. It seem taken from e30 m40? I got serial number and then 003242 BCX.
Is it correct that this gearbox is from m40? So i can not use it for m20 engine?
And what number or code should the correct number for m20 engine?
Thank you
Markus

Markus, you need Getrag 240 ending with BMS, MB or BMT. I have just updated the Wiki with this information.

Thank you grrrmachine, and thank you also have up date with new info. Also there are two 260 which one for m20? And about the up date i found that why the 318 propshaft is shorter than 320?

The G260 gearbox was only fitted to M20-equipped cars.
For the propshaft, I cannot find any detailed information on lengths, unfortunately. However, there is a small amout of adjustment (20mm?) in each prop shaft.

I mean front propshaft, that can be 50mm different, between g240 and g260? the rear shaft is same and can be adjusted to accomodate the small and medium case diff?
