Doing a m52 engine and box conversion.

Managed to get hold of a e36 m3 LSD. What's involved in making it fit my e30?

3.2 not possible

3.0 if you dont know and havnt been involved in gear setting then get onto Gareth on here as he does diff services at very reasonable prices

Ah s*#t. It's from a 3.2 I think. I'll text him tomorrow and check. Shame as its a mate that offered it me at a great price

3.2 is a 'large case' 210mm diff. 3.0 is a 188mm 'medium' case, the same as 325i E30s.

Drop me a PM on here if you need a hand.

To identify what E36 diff you have:
The 3.2 M3 Evo diff looks like it came from a tank and has no rubber mountings on the aluminium backplate. Also the plates on the side of the diff have 8 bolts on.
The 3.0 M3 diff has two integral diff mounting bushes on the backplate and 6 bolts on each side.

Bummer!
I know a few people who may be able to find it a home if you're selling cheaply...
