Help with Track Car Please

Right lads the time has come to completely strip my drift slag E30 and i'm wondering if i can get some advice from anyone who has done it previously.
The car is a 325ise no mods and im trying to find what i need to get rid of in order to get the weight down and also what mods i should make to the standard car to get it drifting well without spending a fortune. The car doesnt have to be driven on the road so i've no worries there.
Any help would be appreciated.
Also what tools will i need? sorry to be asking what might seem like stupid questions but this is my first attempt at a track car.

Just remove anything that doesnt make the car run!
A socket set, screwdriver set and stanley knife should sort out most of it.
Rear seats
Passenger seat
Centre consul
Door cards
Boot carpet
Spare wheel
Ariel
Tool kit and case
All trim in the boot (side carpet)
Main carpet and sound proofing
Thats all I can think of for now.

I took my interior out yesterday, the whole lot. the heaviest item and the most difficult to remove properly was the carpet. My car does have a water leak and the carpet weighed 40 plus kilos when removed as it was sopping! removinf that and the leather interior has come to more than 100 kilos in weight removed.

Thats all I can think of for now.
This seems like a good start to me.
With the door cards you may have to make up some lightweight ones as some competiton states that you have to have something there to stop injury on pretruding edges.
Bonnet mechanism(use pins instead)
Switch over to manual windows rather than electric
Get rid of the central locking, replace with manual
If its a four door remove everything from the rear doors
If you are feeling extreme, chop the dash in 2, remove the glovebox but obviously find someway of keeping the remaining dash secure.
Lightwieght wheels?
Also have you got an LSD as you haven't stated that you have as these are essential for drifting if thats what you want to do.

I appreciate the advice and Sunday should make for a fun day.
I've been looking for a decent Limited Slip Diff but haven't been able to find one.
I was thinking of welding the diff but apparently they break half shafts for fun when you do that so i dont know whether thats worthwhile.
Anyone got any ideas where i can get an LSD for a reasonable price and what ratio should i go for or should i just weld it up and buy some spare half shafts?

Tried the welded diff route, never snapped a halfshaft but still won't be trying it again, get an LSD it's far far better.

Good tip for the door cards..get a heat gun, and completely strip them down, and keep a hold of the card, at least then the inside of the door will look tidy too, then screw some grab handles to them, as these are lighter than the handles on the door.
